Once you have
created an iSeriesLink Application, you can click the ADD the button
to add events to your application.
Select
the screen
Specify cursor
position requirements if you want the event to occur only when the cursor
is within certain boundaries of that screen -- Example: on a subfile
screen, you may require the cursor to be within the boundaries of the subfile.
Specify the
Function Key to trigger the event. You can check the Ctrl and
Shift checkboxes for combination keys -- Example: Ctrl-F1
or Shift-F5.
Specify the
Action: Open File, Get URL, or Run Program.
The File
Name, URL, or Program Path can be a combination
of constant and variable data. Variable data is text extracted from the screen.
You can mix and match constant and variable data using the two buttons: [+
Constant ] and [+ Extracted Text ].
Press Save
once you are done defining the event. Your event will appear under iSeriesLink
App Events. You may edit or delete your event at any time by clicking on the
Edit or on the Delete
button.
To test your
event(s), click the "Compile and Download" button.
